Here are some of the latest restaurants and cafes that have opened and some on the horizon for later this year and throughout 2026.

The restaurant opened in the former Harold's Chicken space at 241 E. Farm to Market Rd. 1382 # 317. It’s a Thai restaurant with fresh ingredients and an “exhibition kitchen” style. Menu highlights feature green curry, Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup, and vegetarian/vegan options.

What started as an Instagram page called "Muslims of the World" has blossomed into a number of cafes across the country including Indiana, Connecticut, and Illinois. The menu features coffee with Middle Eastern flavors like Cardamom Latte and Pistachio Latte; Yemeni Chai, hot teas, and refreshers. Food includes empanadas, milk cakes, muffins, and pastries. The Cedar Hill location is one of two locations in Texas along with Plano.

So, get ready for endless breadsticks and pasta to fill up on. It could be completed by sometime next year in 2026.
Locals are familiar that Cedar Hill had a Dairy Queen that spent many years across the road from Cedar Hill High School. The space closed in 2017 and was later replaced by the current Lisa's Chicken and Seafood. Now, Dairy Queen is slated to make a comeback in 2026, located next to NTB Tire at 848 E. Belt Line Rd., according to a state filing. Who's ready for those Blizzards?
Likely the first Brazilian steakhouse in Cedar Hill is moving into Hillside Village by next year. Prepare for a mouthwatering experience with unlimited fire-grilled meats, traditional Brazilian sides, and the inviting charm of an authentic churrascaria steakhouse. Its projected to open later this year.
They're building this smoothie shop next to Dutch Bros. Their items include green smoothies, chia banana boost, acai berry boost, tropical dragon passion, and limited time flavors. They also serve bites like acai bowls, flatbreads, and wraps.
