After years and years of development, the DART Silver Line is finally becoming a reality. Once it makes its debut for riders on October 25, rides will make stops across seven cities: Carrollton, Dallas, Addison, Plano, Richardson, Coppell, and Grapevine.

Celebrations for the start of service will kick off on October 25 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. across the stations. There will be free rides from October 25 - November 8.

To mark the launch, they're inviting the community out for live music, cultural performances, family-friendly activities, and community programming.

Spanning over 26 miles, the Silver Line will reduce congestion, linking residents to jobs and educational opportunities, and expanding travel options across North Texas.

The Silver Line features Stadler trains, fully accessible stations, and direct transfers to DART Light Rail, bus routes, and DFW terminals.

According to a release, each station was designed with input from the cities along the rail corridor, reflecting local character, community feedback, and accessibility features to ensure a safe and welcoming experience for all riders.

“The Silver Line is a centerpiece of our Point B vision to make DART your first-in-mind mobility partner,” Nadine Lee, DART President & CEO, says in a statement. “By connecting key employment centers, neighborhoods, and the world’s third-busiest airport, this project will be a catalyst for economic growth, provide access to opportunity, and a seamless mobility experience that helps our region thrive.”

The new DART Line will operate every 30 minutes and  every 60 minutes off-peak and on weekends from 4 a.m. - 1 a.m.
