This food festival filled many bellies for decades, giving locals and visitors a chance to explore their favorites and try something new at one of the many restaurant vendors. But now, the curtains have closed on Taste Addison after 30 years.

While the three-day festival will no longer take place, the core of the event will be revamped with year-round options, according to the festival's website. Prior to the big announcement, the festival was planned for April 17-19.

Aside from plenty of food, there were also musical performances spread out through the weekend.

The City of Addison decided to cut the festival during their January 6 council meeting, citing the quality as reduced.

According to WFAA, the City of Addison lost about $760,000 from the event last year and wanted to refocus planning efforts in another more cost-effective direction.

Dallas locals are sad to see it go.
