Did you hear Dallas has yet another steakhouse coming onto the scene? This one has been in the works for two years and is finally one step closer to opening with a planned open date of October 1.

Called Docent, it's a concept from Harwood Hospitality (Stillwell's, Mercat Bistro, Happiest Hour) and is located inside Harwood No. 14 in Dallas' Harwood District.

According to a release, Docent brings a fresh take on the classic steakhouse, pairing premium beef, warm hospitality and an art collection with multiple ways to dine and unwind.

From the elegant main dining room and expansive wraparound patio to the lively downstairs space with TVs, a relaxed atmosphere and a soundtrack to match, Docent offers an experience for every occasion.

The menu highlights HWD Beef, Harwood’s exclusive premium beef program featuring Akaushi cattle raised by ranchers in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, alongside an extensive selection of Texas Wagyu and authentic A5 Kobe Beef from Japan.

Outside of steaks, the menu offers a range of dishes including tempura lobster, Ora King salmon, lamb, pork chop, and classic steakhouse sides. Their creative cocktails feature strawberry lychee martini, green mocha, and classic cocktails.

Also, there's an evolving wine list and more than 100 pieces from the Barbier-Mueller Collection woven throughout the restaurant’s design.

Docent Steak opens this October at 2801 N. Harwood St. Ste. 100. Hours are Monday-Thursday from 4-10 pm, Friday from 4-11 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 5- 11 pm and 5-10 pm.
